We’re Here to Help
Are you experiencing human-beaver conflict? The California Beaver Help Desk can help you find technical and financial assistance options customized to your unique situation and site. If you are experiencing conflict with beaver on the land you manage, please refer to the steps below and learn about seeking assistance.
Two Ways to Seek Technical Assistance
Request Free Technical Support and Apply for Financial Assistance
- Start by filling out our Free Assistance Contact Form. Please take some time to describe your situation. The more detail you provide, the more informed our initial response will be.
- Once we receive your request, we will provide you with free technical support through remote assistance from the Beaver Institute. If you would like to proceed with an additional free, in-person site assessment, you will work with a Certified Beaver Coexistence Professional through our BeaverCorps partner network.
- Once they conduct your personalized site assessment, create a coexistence plan, and share a cost estimate, you may choose to fill out the Cost-Share Assistance Application.
- Financial assistance decisions will be made within two weeks.
- Then, once technical and financial assistance are secured and a Landowner Agreement Form is signed, onsite project implementation can begin!
Hire a Beaver Coexistence Professional Directly
- Find a Certified Beaver Coexistence Professional directly using our Find a Pro map.
- From here, you may decide to independently consult with and hire a professional to begin implementation on your site. Land managers are responsible for all costs associated with this option. Alternatively, after paying for the initial consultation, the landowner may choose to apply for financial assistance before implementing the project.
